Description

For Joshua 1:9, we chose a B&W surfer photograph from our studio. Three men on the beach, one standing with a surfboard, one kneeling. The picture has a certain energy: you are on the verge of something, you are ready, you are waiting for the wave.

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9 is the announcement before something difficult begins. God says this to Joshua when he is to lead the people into a land he does not know. The combination of the surfer photograph and this verse was deliberate: both describe the same situation - you stand there, you know what's coming, and you go for it.

The poster is black and white and combines well with other B&W prints from our studio.
